It's no news that I love knitwork. This fun design by the student Sebastian Schönheit (Bauhaus Universty, Germany), has both an arty side and a practical side to it. The oversized knitwork (carpet) is part of the exhibition titled TWO BLOCKS EAST WEST, and will take place in Beijing's 798 art district from the 30th of November 2008.

De kans op een ijsvrije Noordpool dit jaar wordt steeds kleiner. De ijssmelt gaat deze zomer langzamer dan vorig jaar maar verloopt wel sneller dan in 2006. De ijsbedekking blijft zodoende een neergaande trend vertonen. Dat meldt het KNMI op haar website.
