In a stroke of genius CNNShirt (yes, it’s actually affiliated with CNN) releases a new TShirt that proclaims “ABC News Fucked Up The Pennsylvania Debate. I just saw it on CNN!”. The shirts come in three colors: white, black, and grey. They have sizes for men and women ranging from small to extra large. If you watched the debate, saw clips on any other news program, read any blogs, watch the Daily Show or Colbert Report, or talked to anybody remotely interested in the debate process then you

Today’s news (in Gulf News) regarding Panadol Extra hoax story is uplifting one. It’s good to know that UAE authorities acted upon on this story about the ‘truth’ regarding the medicine and people from the manufacturer verified that the news circulating in email/texts are not true. I was so relieved since this medicine has been my companion for 4 years every time I had headache or flu. Not only that, doctors here always recommended this medicine, that’s why I depended too much especially living

On Resisting Evil
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 05:15:52 PDT
Murray Rothbard’s essay “On Resisting Evil” is one of the most inspirational pieces I have ever read. I’m reposting it here for everyone to read: How can anyone, finding himself surrounded by a rising tide of evil, fail to do his utmost to fight against it? In our century, we have been inundated by a flood of evil, in the form of collectivism, socialism, egalitarianism, and nihilism. It has always been crystal clear to me that we have a compelling moral obligation, for the sake of ourselves,
A Nice, Brief, Easy-To-Understand Summary Of The Enron Debacle
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 05:16:00 PDT
An excerpt from Philip Greenspun: The true health of a company is measured by its long-run stock price. That is tough to manipulate and reflects what investors are willing to pay for the enterprise, taking into account all risks, all news, and any deferred expenses. At Enron, following the advice of the best minds of McKinsey, employees were compensated for book profit, as certified by Arthur Andersen, and EBITDA (earnings before income tax, debt, and amortization). The result was a company

Cable Tv's Election Coverage: The More They Talk, The Less We Learn
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 05:16:55 PDT
I have a simple theory about cable news, developed after months spent consuming its endless coverage of this endless presidential election: the more attention they pay to a subject, the less viewers actually learn. I tested my notion recently by tackling a marathon assignment: spending a day watching the shows cobbled together by each cable news channel to capitalize on the nation's electoral interest -- Fox’s America’s Election HQ, MSNBC’s Race to the White House and CNN’s Election Center.

They are the proposed “fashionable croc antidote”. Made of lightweight plastic, they boast comfort and style, but the style part is definitely up for debate. We’re wondering if you think they belong in the Don’t Purchase This! and the What Not To Wear section. People, these shoes not only come in white, they come in pink and blue! Eeeek! And the price? A mere $48. So my darlings, would you buy these shoes? Tell us what you think! more at twiigs.com… Copyright © 2008 The Fashionabl
Hockey Victory Riot
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 05:18:16 PDT
next] Montreal has an odd little tradition of rioting after major victories during the NHL playoffs. Usually it is after winning the Stanley Cup, but this time, the riots began after the first round of playoffs. Thousands of jubilant fans poured out of the Bell Centre and began celebrating in the streets after the Montreal Canadiens defeated their arch-rivals the Boston Bruins 5-0 in game 7 of the conference quarter-finals. A little after midnight, I became aware of the riots finishing up
Stop the Idiotic Laptop Searches
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 05:18:47 PDT
TV news in the background - they talk about how we can expect more laptop searches at airports, agents searching for child pornography. This is insane. I am not supporting child pornography, but fighting it should not be the mission of airport security or customs officials. Air travel is already bad enough, searching through today’s huge hard disks would bring it to a screeching halt. ShareThis

Fire Emblem - Radiant Dawn Review (Wii)
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 05:19:49 PDT
So, have you been wondering whether there are any deep gaming experiences on the Wii? Here it is folks. A turn-based tactics game with over 18 years of history behind it. This game hails from a long line of Fire Emblem games dating all the way back to Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragons and the blade of light, which was released on the Famicom in 1990. These games have kept some common threads to them, not least the style of gameplay, and the effect dying has on the game. This is the first Fire E
